What apprenticeships can my business offer?

There’s almost no limit to the different types of Australian Apprenticeships (including traineeships) your business can offer.

Apprenticeships usually last three or four years and are generally offered in trades like construction, cookery, automotive, engineering, manufacturing, electrical, plumbing, hair and beauty, and more.

Traineeships usually last one or two years in sectors such as information technology, business, retail, health, childcare, and more.

Employers need to consider what skills they can teach, how much training is required, and if they can offer an apprentice the appropriate supervision.

Looking for your next apprentice?

While many Australians start their working life as an apprentice or trainee, many others complete their qualification to upskill within their chosen profession or reskill and change career path.
