The priority list has been updated based on demand ratings, and underpins the financial supports offered via the Australian Apprenticeships Incentive System.
Occupations which have been added from 1 January 2025 are:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health WorkerÌý
- Electrical Engineering DraftspersonÌý
- Family Day Care EducatorÌý
- µþ²¹°ù²ú±ð°ùÌý
- ¶Ù°ù¾±±ô±ô±ð°ùÌý
- Electric Vehicle TechnicianÌý
- Employment ConsultantÌý
- Gas Network TechnicianÌý
- Marine EngineerÌý
- Marine PilotÌý
- Railway Network ControllerÌý
- Ship’s MasterÌýÌý
Employers who sign up an apprentice in an industry linked to one of these occupations may be eligible to receive the .
Eligible employers that hire a new or existing worker in a priority occupation can claim up to a maximum of $5,000 for full-time apprentices, and $2,500 for part-time apprentices in the first year of their apprenticeship.
